Next up in our Women’s History Month series, meet Marjorie Lee Browne! Marjorie is a prominent mathematician and educator who was one of the first African American Women to receive a Ph.D., which she received from the University of Michigan. She was a significant proponent of Math Education for ALL. She dedicated much of her life to teaching linear algebra to school teachers to improve math education to inspire confidence in young mathematicians. We at Teach to One are grateful for women leaders such as Marjorie Lee Browne, who fought to reimagine the classrooms for the betterment of students!
