Marjorie is a prominent mathematician and educator who was one of the first African American Women to receive a Ph.D., which she received from the University of Michigan. She was a significant proponent of Math Education for ALL. She dedicated much of her life to teaching linear algebra to school teachers to improve math education to inspire confidence in young mathematicians.
