Teach to One Roadmaps Plus is a robust toolkit focused on stemming math learning loss and enabling acceleration. It includes digitally enabled assessments, teacher planning tools, instructional content, and reporting. It was designed to enable each and every student to master the subset of pre-, on-, and post-grade skills needed so they meet grade level expectations and are college- and career-ready.

ASSESSMENTS
There are three possible administrations of a diagnostic assessment: beginning of year, middle of year, end of year. Each diagnostic assessment takes 70 to 100 minutes to complete. On-demand assessments are also used in Roadmaps Plus for students to demonstrate their knowledge and skill mastery.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why should math be assessed at the skill level?
The impact of learning loss is especially acute in math. Experts estimated students returned to school in the Fall of 2020 nearly a full year behind due to the impacts of COVID-19 (source: The Brookings Institute). Because math is cumulative, learning gaps will compound if unaddressed (source: The Iceberg Problem). Roadmaps Free is a diagnostic assessment that identifies learning gaps in predecessor skills required to learn new skills and concepts at or beyond grade level. Roadmaps Plus offers math lessons and tools that are specific to each student’s unique needs and strengths as identified in the diagnostic assessment.
How is Roadmaps Plus different from other digital adaptive curriculum?
Roadmaps Plus provides best-in-class content from multiple providers. Students also have access to regular on-demand formative assessments that adjust and update their roadmap. This allows students to track their progress and ultimately gives students more ownership over their own learning.
When and where can students and teachers access Roadmaps Plus?
Roadmaps Plus is available through a Teach to One Partnerships representative. One of our representatives will assist you in creating your account. Roadmaps Plus can be accessed in schools or remotely.
How much does this cost?
Roadmaps Plus is available for any school, community center, or other non-school institution at an introductory rate of $15 per student, per academic year (August 1 – July 31).
Is there a minimum number of students required?
While Roadmaps Free does not have a minimum size requirement, Roadmaps Plus requires a minimum class size of 10 students. Any school with a smaller class size should still feel free to reach out to our Partnerships team with their expected number of students.
Will this tool help students prepare for end-of-year state assessments?
Roadmaps Plus is designed to help educators, students, and families understand what skills each student has or hasn’t learned, and get students the practice they need to gain skill proficiency. This data is applicable to state assessment readiness.
Can Roadmaps Plus replace a school’s math curriculum?
Roadmaps Plus can augment remote, hybrid, or in-person math instruction. Roadmaps Plus can also replace or supplement math curriculum in remote or hybrid learning environments.

How can my school use this with A/B days and staggered schedules?
With Roadmaps Plus, students can work on their roadmap on the days they are not in school. When students are in school, teachers can either a) focus on schoolwide curriculum; b) adjust schoolwide curriculum based on trends from student roadmaps; or c) allow students to work on their roadmaps with the teacher present to provide support.
How often are students’ roadmaps updated?
In Roadmaps Plus, roadmaps are refreshed throughout the year based on certain activities (e.g. a student completes an on-demand “exit slip” or takes a mid-year diagnostic assessment, for example).
What content providers are utilized for Roadmaps Plus?
Roadmaps Plus features engaging, high-quality lessons from many leading providers, including those like EngageNY Math, Illustrative Mathematics, Desmos, and Khan Academy, which earned the highest rating in EdReports.
How is the assessment structured, formatted, and scored?
The 75 to 90 minute assessment dials in on the 147 skills related to Algebra, and includes components related to enrolled grade level skills. Testing covers related skills going back to the second grade. The diagnostic can also be administered in three parts over multiple days, if preferred. Questions are scored automatically and include multiple choice items, free response, and interactive response.
How often are students expected to take the diagnostic?
The diagnostic assessment can be taken up to three times a year (fall, winter, and spring).
What does reporting look like at the school and district level?
Teachers and administrators can track progress with aggregated roadmap reports and downloadable data exports. Instructional resources are also available in order to determine the best way to help each student work through their roadmap. Additional top-level filters allow for reporting by school, teacher, classes, and grades.
Can this be used as a progress monitoring tool for IEPs?
Yes. You can monitor progress toward Algebra completion and enrolled grade proficiency (including predecessor skills) for each and every student.
What are the technology requirements?
Student-level and most teacher-level features can be accessed via laptop, Chromebook, tablet, or mobile device with web access via standard browsers. For teachers and administrators to access the advanced reporting features in Roadmaps Plus, a laptop will be necessary.
What does implementation and support look like?
For Roadmaps Plus, schools will have a Partnerships representative assigned for registration, enrollment and payment processing support. Tutorials, webinars, and user guides are available online in the Help Center. If you can’t find what you need, users can also email support4roadmaps@teachtoone.org.
