Happy Black History Month from Teach to One! Black History Month provides a fantastic time to honor the lives of black mathematicians and inventors, whose stories and triumphs are often overlooked. This year, we celebrate the lives and innovations of Katherine Johnson, Dr. Mark Dean, Valerie Thomas, and Lonnie Johnson. Their contributions to math and science are impactful and remarkable. They have led to the invention of the personal computer, Super Soaker, and significant hands in NASA missions Apollo 11 and Landsat. The cards below are a downloadable resource for students and teachers on the work of these pioneers in STEM.
